    I agree, some great software packages listed here. I used 3D Studio 4 & 3DS Max at university for games design and 3d animated flythroughs etc…
    All of that software is pretty pricey. If you cant afford these titles then cheaper, older packages to look for are Poser, Bryce 3D and Serif Impact Plus.
